Welcome home, but to a home you’ve never known…

In this life we simply have a certain number of meals we will be given time to enjoy. Let’s not waste them. Sometimes the hustle and bustle of our day leaves us yearning for days gone by. Simpler times. Times, that when we reflect on them, bring a nostalgic smile to our face.

Remember Sunday night dinners at Grandma and Grandpa’s house, how everyone loaded up in the old station wagon and met right before sunset? Walking into her home, you were embraced by the smells of apple pies baking and the soft music from the kitchen clock radio. Stacks of pastel Tupperware already pulled out in anticipation of leftovers? The chattering of all the family already settled into the living room, the tables set with Granny’s best china and hand-embroidered linens. With a glimpse of my eye I see her handwritten card placed on Grandpa’s plate welcoming him to his seat at the table. Looking back now as an adult the memories of those simple suppers now feel like the softest, most cozy blanket, that smells so familiar yet you just can’t place the fragrance because the memories have been locked away since youth. 

Well you’re family here at Cooper’s Alley and we would love for you to feel like you’re stepping back in time visiting your Granny’s house once again. The tables will be set just as they were at Grandma’s, the music will play while we break bread, and the dinner will be served family style just as it would have been! We hope to be “home” to you and a place where you can make many new memories with your friends and family. Because after all, a wise man once said… “Go back to your Roots” JCF
